Happy Feet
Happy Feet is a trio from Ardmore, PA. Starting out as a nameless experimental drum/bass duo, Paul Benson and Hollis Ruggieri rapidly began creating some heavy, bone crushing, and wild tunes. After a short journey of finding a fit and happy style they added saxophone player Steve Davit. Steve is one amazing musician who brings alot of fun, jazzy, free spirited sounds to the band. Paul plays loud and fast drums, and sometimes louder and faster drums. Hollis is always looking for new ways to make his bass sound more like a monster from a space-aged fairy tale. They would call their sound "better than what Lightning Bolt mixed with Need New Body doing a split with My Bloody Valentine would sound like, with No New York thrown in." Their songs concern paths, woods, childhood and childhood clothing that makes them remember basketball games with cousins they loved (mostly Hollis with those). Recorded tracks almost never have vocals due to the fact all lyrics are improv at live shows. Seeing this band live is a must, even though their recordings are good. All the Tapes and CDs are hand painted and no two things are alike in their appearence. Same goes for any other merch. They take alot of advice and direction from teacher Jim Strong. They love to make new friends and playing on grassy fields in farm land America.
